T he M oun t ain Day breaks behind and flows before My single summit, crowned in white Vessels of sunlight tip and pour To lend a cloak of rosy light My roots delve deep into the earth No wind of force can toss me down Image and strength have bought my worth I bear a name of great renown An eagle in exalted flight Keen eyes transfixed upon the ground Could not surpass my unbound sight To me no secret walks unfound They gaze up to my noble peak Praise fills their words yet brings no hope There is but one that they should seek He whose height far transcends this slope My lofty heights could pierce the sky If high through the heavens they soared Yet snap in the blink of an eye If faced with His two-edged Sword By Him all things were created Both in the heavens and on earth Sent the Saviour long-awaited Through miraculous virgin birth I see man walk this land alone Wretched in the works of their hands Such lone solitude I have known Enthroned above these frozen lands Those who look in...
