Soon To Be Released ~ Memory Lane Was Moved

 Greetings, followers of A Writer's Pen! I have a special announcement for all you book readers. My sister, Emily, is about to publish her first book on Amazon! It will be free on Kindle for the first five days after its release. The publication date is not yet decided, but it will for sure be released before August 15th. When it is published, I will supply the link to it on this blog.

Here's the description for Memory Lane Was Moved:

When eleven-year-old Travis wakes up in a strange room with no memory, he embarks on an adventure of a lifetime. Teaming up with Sadie and her older brother Robert, Travis uncovers his past with surprising results. He encounters Larry (a mysterious man who appears to have known Travis before) and Lewis, an undersized fourteen-year-old who gets swept along into the adventure as well. 

Soon, Travis discovers that this whole thing is much bigger than he had at first realized. An elusive company called SCAM has been planning to release a product into the world that could jeopardize the nation’s security: a product known only as HANDSHAKE. Travis and his friends must work to stop that product from being released before it is too late.

3... 2... 1... Liftoff!

     Bonjour! Good day!      Here we are, the very first post of A Writer's Pen. If all goes to plan, I will be posting here every Monday (Update: this has since switched to every other Thursday) . My hope for this blog is that I will be able to help and encourage other writers through their courageous venture through the exhilarating (and at times, quite grueling) process of picking up the pen!      They say that " The pen is mightier than the sword" .      It seems that Thursday has come and gone without a post on A Writer's Pen . My apologies!      I have a bit of a surprise in today's post. One that I've stored in my idea vault for quite some time and been longing to do. So without further ado...  I will be hosting a flash fiction contest on this blog!        Let's get into the specifics...      To start off, I'd better define "flash fiction".
