A Writer's Pen Hiatus

     Good day! 
     A Writer's Pen will be taking a short hiatus from posting for the month of September. September is a big and busy month for me this year because it is the month of my sister's wedding! With all the craziness going on, I find it necessary to take a little time off from posting so that I can better juggle my various responsibilities. 
     During this time, I hope that I might just be able to catch up on my many writing projects. Who knows? You may even hear a little something about them. 
     I will see you all again in October!

3... 2... 1... Liftoff!

     Bonjour! Good day!      Here we are, the very first post of A Writer's Pen. If all goes to plan, I will be posting here every Monday (Update: this has since switched to every other Thursday) . My hope for this blog is that I will be able to help and encourage other writers through their courageous venture through the exhilarating (and at times, quite grueling) process of picking up the pen!      They say that " The pen is mightier than the sword" . And I'm sure anyone who has wielded one will agree that, at times, it certainly feels as heavy as a sword! Many of us may remember beginning to feel that first spark of a writer inside of us. Flash Fiction Contest!

     It seems that Thursday has come and gone without a post on A Writer's Pen . My apologies!      I have a bit of a surprise in today's post. One that I've stored in my idea vault for quite some time and been longing to do. So without further ado...  I will be hosting a flash fiction contest on this blog!        Let's get into the specifics...      To start off, I'd better define "flash fiction".
